FZ/T 73032-2017 Introduction to Quality Inspection Standards and Test Requirements for Denim Clothing

The production of denim clothing originated in the United States, the fabric is mainly denim, mostly cotton or cotton blend (such as adding spandex to increase elasticity), through the indigo dyeing, washing treatment (such as stone grinding, enzyme washing, sandblasting) to form a unique texture and color fading effect.

Denim clothing styles are: denim jackets, jeans, denim shirts, denim undershirts, denim skirts, denim children's clothing and other styles. Denim clothing with its wear-resistant and durable, casual and comfortable features loved by people from all over the world, although its overall style is relatively patterned, but its fine modeling and decoration is accompanied by the cycle and rhythm of popular fashion, constantly interpreted and changed.

FZ/T 73032-2017”Knitted Denim Clothing”is a quality inspection standard for knitted denim clothing developed by China's textile industry, aiming to standardize the inner quality, appearance requirements and safety performance of products. The old version (2009) only applies to knitted denim garments made of cotton or cotton and chemical fiber blended fabrics, while the new version removes the restriction on raw material composition and pays more attention to the overall performance of the products.

1. Scope of application:

FZ/T 73032 specifies the terms and definitions of knitted denim, product number, requirements, test methods, judgment rules, and product instructions, packaging, transportation, storage.FZ/T 73032 is applicable to the identification of knitted denim quality, but does not apply to knitted denim for infants and young children aged 36 months and below.
